About Baltimore City Gators

📍 Baltimore City Gators is a girls lacrosse program with a mission centered on inclusion and diversity in the sport.

The organization began in 2007 as a recreational team at Herring Run Park, was reformed in 2012, and became a high school club team in 2015.

It obtained 501(c)(3) nonprofit status in 2020.

The Gators serve middle school and high school players, with a stated purpose of providing girls of color, girls from disadvantaged areas, and girls who want to play an opportunity to compete at the next level.

The high school team participates in an elite BWI Indoor league during winter months to keep athletes conditioned for spring high school seasons.

Practices are held at Emmanuel Lutheran School, Babe Ruth Field, and the GOALS facility in the 📍 Baltimore area.

Former Gators have gone on to play at the collegiate level, including players featured in US Lacrosse Magazine who competed at Delaware State University.
